Public consultation on National Locksmithing standards

Post by Nigel K Tolley » Sat Jun 04, 2011 12:07 am

As one of those who helped draft this, I've also been asked to publish it here for comment.
Skills for Security is looking for your comments on a draft Qualification Structure for Locksmithing.
Skills for Security is working in consultation with the locksmiths sector to develop a national qualification structure for Locksmithing.

A draft qualification structure has been developed and is now being consulted upon across the locksmiths sector to ensure that the final version is fit for purpose and meets the needs and expectations of practitioners across the locksmith sector.

Your views are important to us and the closing date for your comments is Friday 24th June 2011. Your comments should be forwarded to Sophia.Dunne@skillsforsecurity.org.uk

Alongside the development of the draft qualification structure we will be undertaking market research to establish the level of demand for the qualification.

If you require more information regarding the project please contact our Skills and Qualifications Adviser david.fisher@skillsforsecurity.org.uk

Please do give feedback. Without a standard, there will never be any regulation of the sector, nor any cap or level of quality for the output of course providers.

7 responces thats how much anyone cares ......
If it looks like an exhibition, sounds like an exhibition, sells itself as an exhibition – you may be really disappointed. There is only ONE LOCKEXPO and ONE ALEXPO
